GHSI Launches Website and Wiki

May 17, 2008, GHSI Press Release

The Global Health and Safety Initiative (GHSI) formally launched its website and wiki today. The website can be accessed at www.globalhealthsafety.org and the wiki at http://tinyurl.com/5oyvet.

The GHSI website will be the online home for this new organization, which has members and supporters from all across the United States, and many collegial organizations all across the globe. Visitors will be able to read about GHSI, join the Initiative, get information about GHSI workgroups, and find links to tools and resources.

The wiki will serve as a place where GHSI workgroups can share information, coordinate schedules, and archive documents as they are being written and updated. Those interested in the issues being addressed by GHSI are encouraged to join the Initiative and participate actively in workgroups.

GHSI was formally launched at a press conference in Oakland, California last October when some of the leading healthcare systems and nonprofits joined together to create a first-of-its-kind sector-wide partnership to green the healthcare industry and improve patient and worker health and safety.

The Global Health and Safety Initiative (GHSI) is a sector-wide collaboration to transform the way that healthcare designs, builds and operates its facilities, as well as the products used within those facilities. For more information, please contact GHSI Program Coordinator Pamela Miller at 510-559-8777 or visit the GHSI website.
